Stock asset management - simplified

Simple, step-by-step processes to capture stock assets, track their lifecycle, and maintain accurate inventory - all from a mobile device, tablet, or desktop.

The Process

How stock asset management works in ATP

A simplified example of tracking stock from delivery to storage — your actual workflow can be customised to your exact process.

1

User signs into the ATP app

All user access is controlled via your private administration dashboard. Assign users individually or as groups. For shared devices, individual user IDs can be scanned from a barcode or RFID badge.

2

Select your workflow

Once logged in, users see only the workflows assigned to them. Each workflow represents a different task or process, created by our Workflow Builder and customised to your requirements.

3

Choose a sub-level stock action

An action defines the task — adding assets to stock, moving them within a storeroom, or taking them out. Actions can be customised per customer to match your exact workflow.

4

Start a "Scan In Asset" session

A session defines the time window for scanning incoming stock. Assets are scanned and placed on a trolley ready for storage. Columns in the table can be customised to show the data fields that matter to you.

5

Scan trolley for asset storage

Assets are stored in bays and shelves within a storeroom. The trolley is treated as a "group" containing many assets — itself an asset with its own UDI. Scanning the trolley UDI associates all loaded assets ready for storage.

6

Asset verified and approved for storage

Each asset's UDI label is scanned. Details can be verified against external databases (e.g. AccessGUDID) or your own inventory. Verified data is cached on the ATP Server for faster future lookups.

7

Scan the next asset

With quantity confirmed, the asset is added to the table. Repeat the process as many times as needed. ATP records every date, time, and asset — ready to sync when the session is complete.

8

ATP remembers previous actions

During the same session, ATP can recall previously captured data. In this example, it remembers the trolley UDI and pre-fills the field. These intelligent helpers make data capture faster and more efficient.

9

Session completed — data synced securely

When the user taps "Done", ATP re-verifies all data and automatically syncs to the ATP Server (cloud or on-premises). If no connection is available, data is held securely on the device and syncs in the background when reconnected.

Storing & retrieving stock

Storing follows a similar process: scan trolley, find assets, scan bay/shelf UDI. ATP now knows exactly where each asset is stored and its expiry date. Retrieval uses FIFO or FEFO to locate assets and reduce stock counts.
